Rubin M. Sinins
As a certified criminal trial attorney and a civil trial attorney, Rubin Sinins handles matters involving criminal defense, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, commercial matters, and miscellaneous civil litigation matters. His litigation experience is wide-ranging, and Mr. Sinins is called upon to handle complex litigations for individual and corporate clients in a host of contexts.
In 2006, Mr. Sinins was selected as one of the New Jersey Law Journal's 40 Under 40. The publication's list features 40 of New Jersey's top lawyers under the age of 40 and is comprised of attorneys "well qualified to carry the distinction of being high achievers, future leaders, and well-worth keeping an eye on."
Mr. Sinins earned his B.A. with honors as well as an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991, and his J.D. with honors from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1994, where he was a Notes Editor of the George Washington Law Review and a Dean's Research and Writing Fellow. He is admitted to the New Jersey and New York State Bars as well as the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and Southern District of New York.
Following law school, Mr. Sinins served as Research Associate at Harvard University to the Honorable A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr., Chief Judge Emeritus (retired) of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Thereafter, Mr. Sinins served as a litigation associate in the New York offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He was a partner in the Newark, New Jersey firm of Sinins & Bross from 1998 through 2006.
Mr. Sinins is a co-author of "A Life Well Lived: Remembrances of Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr.-His Days, His Jurisprudence, and His Legacy," Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, April 2000. In addition, he is the Chair of the District V-B Ethics Committee for the 2008-09 term, Chair of the Essex County Bar Association's Criminal Bench-Bar Committee for the 2008-09 term, and a member of the Richard J. Hughes Inn of Court.
